Hi, welcome to my little Chep shop!

I created Chep many years ago now. My art is designed to make people smile. It started off just with my cute 'egg'-shaped black and white characters, but since then I have added many more different characters, designs and landscapes to the strange little world of Chep. Chep means anything cute &/or small.

I love creating art in many different mediums, but I mostly focus on painting and drawing, using different materials as my canvas. I love to use watercolours, acrylics, inks, pens, pencils and sometimes I combine techniques to create mixed media pieces. My favourite material to work with is wood, and once I have a new studio/workshop up and running that is something I want to return to.

All of my art is aimed to create something that will make people smile, and the majority of my work tends to be cute! But I do love to create quite strange, and fantastical illustrations or paintings generally involving nature. I love drawing trees, and plants and always try to incorporate mushrooms and toadstools in my pieces too! None of my work is realistic, it's all drawn from my strange imagination, and because I'm a child at heart basically! I'm obviously not a fine artist, but I do take a lot of time, effort, and pride in my work to create items of quality, and to create pieces that people will want to hold onto for years, and brings them positivity.

I have had quite a long hiatus from creating since we welcomed our beautiful daughter into the world. But I am slowly getting back into creating pieces again. I have also got many new ideas in the pipeline!
